eTASK.Parking Management

Improvement: "Parking Permissions Overview" now also includes access cards

Under "Infrastructural Building Management - Parking Management," you will find the "Parking Permissions Overview." All parking permissions stored in the FM portal are listed here. In addition to many other details regarding parking permissions, assigned access cards are now also displayed.


eTASK.DeskSharing

Bug Fix: Fixed an error in workstation booking

(Customer Reference: INC000006183729)

Previously, workstation bookings could not be made if a booking for the following day already existed. We have fixed this issue. Now, you cannot make additional bookings only during the times for which you have already made a booking. At all other times, you can book a workspace. Additionally, you can now cancel workspace bookings that were made for you by another person. Note: Along with this update, the Desk Sharing workflow must be downloaded and installed from the Customer Center.

eTASK.BIM

Bug Fix: Limited Selection of Hatch Patterns (including SVG/PDF Export)

Previously, multiple hatch patterns could be selected for displaying areas in eTASK.BIM. However, exporting from BIM to SVG for PDF creation only supports full-area output, which is why the selection of hatch patterns has been limited to those supported there. This makes the interface more intuitive.

eTASK.Resource Booking

Bug fix: Date display for resource bookings in the schedule and service list is now consistent

When displaying the date and, in particular, the time for resource bookings, discrepancies in the display within the service list could occur. These have been resolved


eTASK.Payment Transactions

Bug Fix: Issues with account statement retrieval resolved

Problems occurred when importing bank statements via the account statement import and via manual import of bank statements. We have now adjusted the import so that both the account statement import and the manual import work properly again.

eTASK.Vehicle Booking

Improvement: Mileage entries can now be recorded in any order

(Customer reference: INC000006126673)

Mileage can now be recorded at any time, not just chronologically in the order of bookings. As a result, the starting mileage for the return confirmation is no longer set automatically, since it can no longer refer to return confirmations that have not yet been recorded and could therefore be incorrect. To apply these changes, the Best Practice Workflow Vehicle Booking must be reinstalled from the Customer Center.

eTASK.Cost Entry

Improvement: Automatic assignment of recurring liability incoming invoices by payment date

In the payment processing of eTASK.Property Management, it is now possible for items in the account statement to be automatically assigned to incoming invoices that originate from a recurring liability and can be matched to the payment date with a tolerance of ±5 days.

Recurring invoices are automatically assigned, even if the payment date varies by up to 5 days.

This applies not only to future entries but is also applied retroactively to all unassigned bank items.

Improvement: Receipt and processing of electronically issued invoices in xRechnung format

With this release, electronic invoices in the xRechnung format can now also be received and processed in the incoming invoice inbox. This completes the quartet of receiving and sending electronic invoices, in both the ZUGFerD and xRechnung formats.

Improvement: Addition of date in the stamp on the incoming invoice

When entering incoming invoices in Property Management, the receipt date is now also processed so that this information can be transferred to the tax advisor in the document. The digital imprint of the date is derived from the receipt date in the entry form. The date is now also visible on the PDF of the incoming invoice.

eTASK.Rental

Bug fix: Fixed an error in the calculation of base rent

In your FM portal, you can assign rooms to the periods of your lease agreement and use this assignment to define the base rent. A problem had arisen here where the room rent was not being transferred to the contract rent. We have fixed this issue for you. The calculation of the base rent now works correctly again based on the assigned rooms.

eTASK.Room Reservation

Improvement: Improved accessibility: Meeting Room Booking Wizard

The Meeting Room Assistant offers extensive options for room booking. To make the assistant clearer and more accessible, we have streamlined it slightly and removed the Comfort and Favorites booking options. With Custom Booking and Detailed Booking, you still have extensive booking options and can use them as usual. If you want an even clearer view, you can also use Quick Booking to book your meeting rooms.

eTASK.FM Portal

New Feature: Sorting Lists by Multiple Columns Now Possible

(Customer reference: CAFMCAB-122)

Lists can now be sorted by multiple columns simultaneously. A new row has been added above the menu bar to display the sorting order. When a list is loaded, the system’s default sorting order is displayed there; this can be changed as desired. New sorting orders can be added using the “Sort Ascending / Descending” options in the column header. The sort direction is changed by clicking on the entry in the new bar. There, the sort order can be changed via drag & drop. In the sort context menu, individual columns can be removed from the sort; the entire sort is removed via the "Sort" button at the very top of the list.Clicking on a column header performs a "quick sort" on that column only, thereby clearing all other sorts. The new multi-sort feature is taken into account when creating custom list views and when generating Excel exports.

Bug fix: Dynamic areas on the second level can be loaded collapsed

You can use hierarchies to create custom areas for dynamic characteristics in forms. You can define whether these areas should be loaded expanded or collapsed. This worked for areas on levels 1 and 3, but not for level 2. This behavior has been fixed.

Bug Fix: Various text display errors fixed

When using certain fonts, a problem occurred in the display of various texts in the FM Portal, including the portal title. With this release, we ensure that all texts are displayed correctly regardless of their font.

Bug Fix: Issues with the display of the object register have been resolved

(Customer reference: IR159378)

For a short time, there was an issue where the property register was not displayed correctly in some FM portals. We have fixed this issue, so you can now view and open your properties via the property register as usual.

Bug fix: Incorrect line breaks on dashboard tiles removed

In the meantime, some text on the dashboard tiles was displayed with incorrect line breaks, causing parts of the text to be cut off. We have fixed this issue. All dashboard tiles are now displayed as usual again.

Bug fix: API query: Buildings

When a query was initiated via the API endpoint "/Services/Ticket/Buildings," it failed if any of the buildings did not have a value in the required "Cost Center" field. We have improved our API query so that it runs successfully even when it includes buildings without a cost center.

Bug fix: Full-text search ("Word search") in the property list is working again

The full-text search (now "word search") in the object list was temporarily unavailable. This issue has been resolved.

Bug fix: "Contract Values Details" is working again

(Customer reference: INC000006163602)

In your FM Portal, under Basic Data - Contract Management, you will find the "Contract Values Details" table. There you will find the detailed values for your contracts. An issue arose where the detailed values could not be opened via the table. We have resolved this issue, so you can now use the "Contract Values Details" table as usual, depending on the workflow roles assigned in the contract.

Bug Fix: Basic Data Module - HSE Basic Data Module >> HSE >> Authorized Persons - Anonymous Access

(Customer Reference: CAFMCAB-134 | INC000006238980)

Previously, it was mandatory for HSE officers to be assigned a fixed phone number and an email address linked to the person in order for these to be displayed in the communication overview.To ensure that HSE officers can also be contacted anonymously or as part of a team, a function-specific email address and/or a function phone number can now be assigned, allowing multiple employees to be reached using these contact details if necessary. This can be configured in the HSE officer form under the "Anonymized Communication Data" section. The officers are now also listed in the corresponding master list even if only anonymous contact details have been created.

Bug Fix: Entries in detail tables for objects are recreated

When creating certain objects, entries are created in associated detail tables where additional information about the object can be stored. Problems occurred during the creation of these entries. These have been resolved in this release, so that for all objects where an entry in a detail table is intended, it is once again automatically created. In the standard system, this applies to doors and IT equipment (legacy).

Bug Fix: Object Code Not Assigned When Creating an Object

When creating a new object, a code is automatically assigned to the object and displayed in the object form. Problems had previously occurred here, and no code was assigned. We have now resolved this issue for you.

Bug fix: Values in dynamic data fields cannot be deleted retroactively

(Customer reference: INC000006144146)

When using the dynamic characteristics function, it was possible that values entered in a characteristic in the form could not be deleted later. This occurred if the characteristic definition was changed afterward. This error has been fixed.

Bug fix: The "Create Multiple Copies" function is available to all users

(Customer reference: INC000006226541)

The new "... create multiple copies" function is available in Contract and Object Management. This function was previously only visible to users with administrative rights. For all others, it was grayed out. This behavior has been fixed. Users outside the administrator groups can now also create multiple copies of contracts and objects.

Bug fix: Error message during portal update removed

(Customer reference: INC000006139459)

When you update your FM portal, the system attempts to report the update to eTASK to save your current version there. Previously, an error message was written to the update log if the connection to eTASK could not be established. We have now removed this error message from the update log.

Bug fix: "Invalid logins" are now counted correctly again

(Customer reference: INC000006239017)

Previously, the counter for failed logins was not reset after a successful login. This resulted in users being immediately locked out after every subsequent failed login, even if they had successfully logged in in the meantime. This behavior has been fixed. All settings for securing the login can be found in the system configuration under the heading "Login"

Bug Fix: Users Are Stored in the Data Record Archive During Mass Changes

When using the bulk edit function, which is easily accessible to many users, the username "System" was entered in the data archive in some cases. This made it impossible to trace who made the changes. This has been fixed.

The Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) sets the requirements for the accessible operation of, for example, websites or web applications. We have implemented further work to comply with this. Further work was done, for example, on:

  • the structure of data tables
  • text contrast alternative text for graphics and objects
  • HTML structural elements for headings
  • usability for users with color blindness
  • on keyboard-only operation

Improvement: BITV2: Check step 9.1.4.3 Text contrasts are sufficient

As part of the system’s accessibility improvements, text contrast has been increased to make content more easily recognizable for people with visual impairments.

Improvement: Service Tiles: Progress in Accessible Design

The central "Service Home" page can be used for easy access to the various eTASK workflows. Clicking a tile launches the underlying workflow. We have improved the use of service tiles via the keyboard. Additionally, we have provided them with better labels so that they can also be used with a screen reader.

Improvement: Better display of tooltips

In some fields of your FM portal, tooltips were not displayed when you hovered over the fields with the mouse. We have fixed this issue. Tooltips are now displayed for all fields on mouseover. We have also optimized the display of tooltips for keyboard navigation. The tooltip appears above the element you are currently on and remains there so that it is always visible.

Improvement: Improvements to Database Backup

When you want to back up your database, you are now first directed to a page where the path to the backup location is displayed. This allows you to verify that the path is current and accessible before proceeding with the backup.

Improvement: "Master List of People" expanded to include personnel numbers

Under "Basic Data - Employee Management," you will find the Master List of Persons. It contains all relevant details about the people in your personnel list. From now on, the person's employee ID will also be displayed there.

Stamps for relocation planning in BIM can now include the relocation date, if one has been entered.

Highlight: Display of all hierarchies as tree structures in individual reports

(Customer reference: CAFMCAB-50 | CAFM.LH.CM.011)

In a multi-stage implementation, we ensure that all hierarchies within your data can be represented as tree structures. Stage 1 of the feature is now complete and includes the creation of any hierarchy trees as "individual reports." The hierarchy tree can be defined from any location, and nodes can be inserted above or below the selected structure. Each level can be grouped, sorted, and labeled based on any value. For more information, see our online help in IC2775. In Release 2025.1, this function will be expanded to 

  • support for dynamic characteristics for sorting, grouping, and labeling
  • support for dynamic hierarchies with unlimited depth within an element, e.g., department with parent department with parent department, etc.
Following the Excel export reports, this represents the second of four pillars of the new reporting in your eTASK.FM portal.

eTASK Key Management

New feature: Management of indoor and outdoor security zones

Previously, security zones could only be set up indoors. Now, outdoor areas can also be defined as security zones. Under Infrastructure Building Management/Security/Keys/Site Security Concept, a type is assigned to the respective outdoor area, which then determines the security zone and, if applicable, the subzone.

New Feature: Management of Rule-Based Access Rights Now Possible

(Customer Reference: CAFMCAB-13 | CAFM.LH.ZU.019)

Under Infrastructure Building Management - Security/Keys - Rule-Based Access, data can be prepared to feed interfaces with access control systems. This specifically involves the implementation of access profiles and the subsequent evaluation of access options in combination with profiles and the issuance of traditional keys. Among other things, the following was addressed:

  • New assignment of cylinders to access profiles
  • New assignment of individuals to access profiles
  • Expansion of the access profile to include time-related data and additional attributes
  • Purpose-specific linking of access profiles
  • Creation of a new evaluation for access profiles
  • Modernization of the "Access Overview for People" report
  • Modernization of the "Room Access Overview" report

Highlight: My eTASK App - Inventory

The new My eTASK App is available in your device’s App Store. Switching is very easy

  1. Synchronize any existing data from the app you’ve been using
  2. Then release the licenses in use under System Settings - Portal Options - Hardware - Mobile Device Management - App Activations on Devices
  3. Search for "My eTASK" in the App Store on your preferred device and download the app
  4. Enter the address of the eTASK.FM portal you use in the code field
  5. Log in with your credentials
  6. Done
Important New Features
  • Work directly online without lengthy synchronization beforehand
  • Synchronize data specifically for planned extended offline use; for short offline periods, simply continue working—changes will be automatically synchronized as soon as you’re back online
  • Use the camera on your device to scan barcodes or QR codes. You can enable this feature in the app settings
  • Of course, you can still use any type of 1D, 2D, or RFID scanner that is compatible with your device, recognizes your labels, and can be paired via Bluetooth, for example
There are no changes to your purchased licenses; they are valid for both the eTASK.WinAPP/Inventory and the My eTASK App - Inventory.Users who are to use the My eTASK App - Inventory will still require permissions for the rights group "2040-B (747) eTASK.WinApp/Inventory (Edit)". The names of the rights groups will change in the future, but the product number 2040 will remain unchanged.
