You can use this form to manage data records for workstations in your company. The workstations created here are assigned to employees in the "Rooms" form.
Identification
In this section, data for the identification of the work stations can be entered. This information will be used to identify it across the entire FM-Portal.| Property | Description |
| Remark | Enter a comment about the workplace. |
| Workstation group | In a flexible occupancy concept, a workstation can be assigned to a group in order to achieve utilization monitoring and space accounting, even if the employees no longer occupy fixed workstations in the area. |
| Code | Enter an abbreviation for the work station. We recommend that you create a work station label which is as informative as possible (e.g. containing information about the department or location of the work station), as the code entered here will be used on the personnel form to assign a work station to a employee. |
| Name | Enter the full name of the work station. The name must start with the characters WS followed by two numbers. Maximal length: 4 characters. |
| Room | Select the room in which the work station is located. You can enter up to three characters to limit the selection to certain rooms. |
Characteristics
In this section you can specify the usage and equipment of the work station.| Property | Description |
| Furnitured | Indicate whether the work station is equipped and can be used. If this checkbox is unchecked, the workstation is considered to be potentially useable. |
| Equipped with Phone | Indicate whether the work station is equipped with a functioning telephone connection and telephone. |
| Type | Select the work station type. |
| Equipped with PC | Indicate whether the work station is equipped with a functioning PC. |
| equipped with a notebook? | Indication of whether the workplace is equipped with a functioning notebook. |
| Equipped with Screen | Indicate whether the work station is equipped with a functioning PC screen. |
| bookable in desk sharing | Specify here whether this workstation is generally available in desk sharing and can be booked by authorized persons. |
| Department | Select the department to be assigned with an unoccupied workstation. |
Occupancy
This list shows all staff members working at the work station. Use the button "Add Staff Member" to assign staff members to the work station.See also: room occupancy
Communication
All contact data used for communicating with staff members working at the work station are displayed here, e.g., phone and fax numbers. You can add further contact data by clicking "Add Contact Data".See also: Communication
Objects
This list shows all objects that are assigned to the workstation. Additional objects can be assigned using the "New..." button.See also: Object list
Workplace equipment
In this info area, you can select the options for workstation equipment that characterize this workstation. This is taken into account when booking workstations.See also: Workplace equipment
Desksharing
The room to which the shared desk is assigned can be opened in the workbar under "More data". This is managed as a meeting room. This function is only available if the workstation has been registered as a shared desk.See also: meeting rooms

Only enable deactivation of workstations if not occupied and no move (via workflow) to this workstation is planned.Image
