Navigation to this function
Management of shortened URLs for direct access to menu items in the system without logging in. You can create short URLs here that enable external partners, customers or service providers to access certain forms or lists directly (e.g. for defect recording, booking systems or surveys). Access control is restricted via IP addresses. Each short URL uses a system user with defined rights.
Identification
Configuration of the short URL with abbreviation, target menu item, system user and display options. Define all the parameters required to call up the shortened URL here.| Property | Description |
| Abbreviation | Enter a unique abbreviation for the short URL here (e.g. "maengel-extern", "buchung-partner"). This abbreviation becomes part of the URL and must be unique throughout the system - there cannot be two short URLs with identical abbreviations. The abbreviation should be descriptive and easy to remember. |
| Menu item | Select the target menu item to which the short URL should link (e.g. a form or a list). Only menu items that are configured to "Allowed without login" are available for selection. This is a security measure to prevent protected areas from being made accessible via short URLs. |
| Description | Describe the purpose and function of the short URL here (e.g. "Defect recording for external service providers" or "Booking system for meeting rooms"). This description is used for internal documentation and facilitates administration if there are several short URLs. |
| System user | Select a system user from the personnel list in whose context the short URL will be executed. This user should have exactly the rights required to access the target menu item - no more and no less. All actions performed via the short URL are logged under this user. |
| Display menu? | Specify here whether the navigation menu should be displayed when the short URL is called up. For external users, it is advisable to hide the menu in order to provide a focused and clear view. For internal users, the menu display can be helpful to quickly navigate to other areas. |
| Display header? | Specify here whether the page header with logo and user information should be displayed when the short URL is called up. For external access or embedded views (e.g. in iFrames), we recommend hiding the header for a lean, focused display. |
| Internal ID (Data ID) | Unique internal ID for system-internal identification of the data record. This field is automatically assigned by the system and is used for technical assignment. |
