departments

Use this form to create data records for the departments in your company. They will later be available for selection in numerous forms. You can also define the hierarchy of your departments by assigning a department to another department. In this form, you can also see which employees work in the department.

Identification

In this section, data for the identification of the department can be entered. This information will be used to identify it across the entire FM-Portal.

Property	Description
Abbreviation	Enter the complete short name of the department.
Department for issue on the door plate	Name of the department, as it should be printed on the doorplate
Company	Select the company to which the department belongs.
Code	Enter an abbreviation for the department.
Name	Enter the full name of the department. You should enter the name used in-house by your company.
Department Manager	Select the employee who manages the department.

Hierarchy

In this section you can select the department situated one hierarchy level above the department to define the hierarchy of the departments in your company.

Property	Description
Object Type	Select the object type for which this department should be primarily responsible.
Superordinated Department	Select the higher-level department. It can only be selected if you have already created its data record.

Identification in CAD Visualizations

Information about presentation of the data record in CAD visualization can be entered in this section. The information entered here is only useful if CAD visualization is used.

Property	Description
Pattern	Enter the number of the pattern in CAD visualization (from "0" to "77").
Background Color	Enter the number of the background color in CAD visualization (from "0" to "119").
Foreground Color	Enter the number of the foreground color in CAD visualization (from "0" to "119").
Foreground color RGBA	RGBA color value for the foreground color. This is used to display legends in BIM Explorere.
Background color RGBA	RGBA color value for the background color. This is used to display legends in BIM Explorere.

List of Cost Centers

In this list you can view all cost centers which account for costs created by the department.

This list shows all staff members working in the department.

All rooms assigned to the department are displayed in this list.

Subordinated Departments (Next Level)
