This group contains characteristics for uniquely identifying and assigning technical details to a meter. It includes key attributes and references for linking to other entities.| Property | Description |
| Meter Number | Meter Number |
| Technical detail | Selection of the technical detail to be assigned to the meter. |
| Value | Enter the value for the detail (e.g. "vertical" for an installation type). The entry is initially unit-independent and, if necessary, is assigned a unit in the "Unit" field. |
| unit | Enter the unit for the value of the technical detail (e.g. "m³" for a flow rate). |
