Navigation to this function
Key groups include all keys having identical areas of access. By connecting the key groups to the corresponding cylinder groups, the locking plan is completed.
Identification
Information on the data record’s identification is entered in this section.| Property | Description |
| superordinate key group | If you want to map the hierarchy of your key groups, you can specify the higher-level group for each key group here. This has no effect on the further use of the locking system or access and is for your information only. |
| Minimum key quantity | Enter the minimum number of active usable keys you would like to keep in stock. This value is included in the "Overview of minimum stock of keys" evaluation. |
| Code | Enter a code for the key lock. As the code entered here appears in many lists and drop-down menus in FM-Portal, creating a key group code which is as informative as possible (i.e. not just with consecutive numbers) is an advantage (e.g. according to user or access groups). Tip: as a key group should only include keys which are completely identical to each other and therefore also have the same engraved identification, the key group code can be made up of a combination of engraved key numbers/identifications and user groups (e.g. "HLK-8510 / Marketing"). |
| Name | Enter a long description for the key lock. Similarly here: As the description entered here appears in many lists and drop-down menus in FM-Portal, it can be extremely useful to create a description which is as precise as possible. |
| Key Group Type | Select the locking group type. |
| Locking System | Select the locking system to which the key lock should be assigned. This is important as the key locks displayed in the key form are filtered by selecting a locking system. New locking systems can be created under Door & Locking technology / Data maintenance / Locking systems. |
