The FM Portal offers two different ways to submit information to it:
The FM Portal has a central email address. The FM Portal’s inbox automatically processes all emails sent there. A special feature is the object email, which is extremely helpful for building an object history and object documentation (more information on this: Object Emails IC1836 - Object Emails). The FM Portal also recognizes feedback on maintenance orders and automatically sets the order to the "Check" status.
When you send a fax to the FM Portal’s central fax number, it is received in digital form in the FM Portal’s email inbox. There, it is processed in the same way as an email sent to the FM Portal. Thus, for example, confirmations for maintenance orders sent via fax can also trigger the transfer of the maintenance order to the workflow status “Check.”
