Tolerance periods are part of an order type and define a timeframe for each workflow step within which that step must be processed. When an order is created, these timeframes are used to calculate the date by which the order must be triggered in order to ensure that the specified end date is met.
Example: If the order is to be completed by November 30 and the total of the tolerance periods for the individual workflow steps amounts to 2 months, the order is sent to the contractor for review on September 30.
If the set tolerance time is exceeded, the order is either automatically transferred to the next workflow step (for example, when moving from the "Order Created" step to the "Review by Client" step) or the group responsible for the current workflow step receives a reminder email.
eTASK.Maintenance offers predefined order types and tolerance periods that can either be used as is or customized.
Example: For order types with a long interval (e.g., 2 years), the tolerance times are set accordingly. For order types with a very short interval (e.g., weekly), the tolerance times are very short.
