Path to System Configuration: Control Panel - Portal Options - Portal Administration - System Configuration
In the System Configuration section, administrators and authorized users can manage central settings and configurations for the portal. The most important functions and options are:
Client and Portal Configuration: Management of client-specific settings, such as portal names, logos, color schemes, and contact information
System parameters: Customization of global system parameters that control the behavior of the portal (e.g., time zones, default values, number ranges, email settings)
Feature and module control: Enabling or disabling modules and features for the portal or individual clients
User and role management: Assigning roles, permissions, and access rights at the system level (e.g., who is allowed to use which system functions)
Workflow and process configuration: Selecting and assigning active workflows for specific tables/processes in the portal
System integrations: Configuration of interfaces to external systems (e.g., email, LDAP, Exchange, third-party systems)
Notifications and email templates: Management of system notifications, email templates, and escalation rules
System logs and monitoring: Viewing system logs, error logs, and status displays for monitoring and error analysis
Data import/export: Tools for importing and exporting configuration data, e.g., for migrations or client copies
License and update management: Display and management of license information, update and patch management
Warning: Only make changes to the system configuration if you are absolutely certain of the effects of each parameter. Incorrect use may severely compromise the functionality of the FM Portal.
