Path to the report: Objects/Assets - Object List
The object form offers full flexibility to store your objects in the FM Portal and ultimately integrate them into your FM processes.
Managed objects can be grouped under object types using matchcodes. Additionally, by assigning an object type, you can add further attributes to the objects.
This form is used, for example, to
objects are entered for the first time,
objects are assigned to rooms,
information and documents are stored,
items are decommissioned.
The object form includes a number of information fields, which are discussed in this article:
Object Type & Matchcode: Here you specify the type of object and where the object is classified in the object registry.
Object ID: Contains data for the unique identification of the object, which is also relevant for inventory purposes.
Room and Workstation: In this section, the object is assigned to a room. This assignment is particularly important for the object’s classification in the Object Explorer.
Object Information: Maintain some typical details about objects here, including information about the company offering the manufacturer’s warranty and the date the warranty expires.
Procurement and Depreciation: You can enter information here regarding the purchase price, useful life, and disposal. If using eTASK. Cost Recording, you can also link the object to an invoice.
Mapping Model: Enter a URL for the mapping model and/or the NavVis code for the location within the building here.
Custom Object Attributes: If custom attributes are assigned to the selected object type, they are managed in this information section.
Photos: Upload photos of the object here.
Description: Enter a free-form description of the object here.
Comments: Enter free-form comments about the object here. A log is kept of who created the comment and when.
Documents: Here you can upload any documents related to the object.
Inventory: This section displays data from the last inventory.
Contracts: Here you can upload contract documents related to the asset.
Recommendation: For every object entry in the system, you can access an object data sheet. It displays the hierarchy levels in the Asset Explorer and all information stored for the object in a consolidated view. The object data sheet is located in the toolbar under Reports.
