The following instructions apply to Solibri version 9.12.8.
Product Selection
As soon as Solibri is launched, the software presents three possible products to choose from:
Figure 1: Product Selection
The three products differ in their functionalities; Solibri Anywhere is free, whereas Solibri Office requires a license.

Roles (Company Resources)
It is possible to define roles in Solibri Office. A role contains a set of preconfigured resources (rule sets, classifications, and evaluation definitions) that can be used when evaluating a model (see Figure 3).

The Navigation Map
The navigation map uses a 2D representation to allow users to move around and identify their own position. Users can also choose between different navigation modes (see Figure 5).
Figure 5: Navigation
The navigation map also displays a 2D view of the selected level or floor (see Figure 6). You can move your position by double-clicking on a specific point on the navigation map. The orange dot represents your position. The orange viewing cone indicates the direction of view.

The “Show Alternative Elements” function allows you to select which object classes should be displayed or hidden (see Figure 7).
Figure 7: Show/Hide
The “Show/Hide Navigation Map” function allows you to select the view of the project (see Figure 8).

Check (Validation Rules)
Validation rules allow you to check the quality of the model with regard to specific aspects, such as collisions, property values, behavior, component dimensions, distances between elements, etc.
The rules to be checked are contained in rule sets (see Figure 9). Rules can also contain sub-rule sets. Each rule has its own type and can be configured differently.
Solibri provides standard rule sets (“Check”). You can also create or use task-specific rules.
The check can be performed on the entire model or on selected elements.
Figure 9: Example of the “Model Structure Check” rule set
Depending on the validation result, the severity of the problem is indicated (see Figure 10). After validation, you can export information or lists of results (including to Excel).
Figure 10: Meaning of the results - Solibri | Checking a model or selected components
The three severity levels have different meanings depending on the rule from which they are derived, as these are configured or preconfigured in the rules.
Passed (green checkmark) is displayed if the check against the rule does not reveal any issues.

Filtering the results
The general check results are displayed (after a review) in the Review view. Detailed check results are displayed in the Results window (see Figure 12). Individual errors can be viewed in detail via the Object tree structure (see Figure 13).

It is also possible to filter using sections or the selection basket (see Figures 14, 15, and 16). These filters can be saved as separate views (see Figure 17)

Rule Set Manager
In the RSM (Rule Set Manager), you can configure and edit rules and rule sets. The RSM consists of 3 tabs (see layouts in Figure 19):
FILE: Back to main selection
RULESET MANAGER: named Rule Set Manager, contains the following 5 windows, see Figure 19:
1. Rule Set Folder (highlighted in red).
2. Libraries (highlighted in yellow): All available rules are listed here (templates).
Rules can be moved to the workspace (see below) to be added
3. Information (highlighted in green): Information about selected items. Open a rule set to rename it.
4. Workspace (highlighted in blue): New rule sets can be created here. Additionally, the rule sets selected and opened in the Rule Set Folder view can be edited (change parameters, add general tasks and user inputs, or open individual rules from the library and adapt them to your own requirements).
5. Parameters (highlighted in green): Configure various settings depending on the purpose of the rule. More detailed settings for the respective severity levels can be modified in the separate “Severity Parameters” window.
EXTENSION MANAGER: This allows you to export Solibris resources (role, rule set, classification, evaluation definitions, summary report template, and coordination report template) as JAR files.
