Set up Azure Active Directory login (SAML)

Your organization can sign in to the eTASK.FM portal using an existing Microsoft account. Click here to learn how to set up sign-in via Microsoft Entra ID (SAML).

Prerequisite

You have administrative rights in both your Office account and the eTASK.FM portal.

Procedure on the Microsoft site

  1. Sign in to https://portal.azure.com with your Microsoft credentials.

  2. Click on Enterprise Apps and then on New App.

  3. Enter a name for your application.

  4. Click Create custom application.

  5. Define the users/groups that are allowed to log in via SAML. To do this, click Add
    User/Group.

  6. Click the Single Sign-On menu item and then click SAML.

  7. Enter the following values:

  8. Identifier: https://"etask-instance".de/neon

  9. Response URL: https://"etask-instance".de/neon/app.etask/logon.aspx

  10. Download the federation metadata XML.

Procedure in the FM Portal

  1. Log in to your eTASK.FM portal and go to Control Panel - Portal Options -
    Interfaces - Interface Configuration - SAML - Local Service Provider

  2. Click on Control Panel - Portal Options - Interfaces - Interface Configuration - SAML -
    Identity Provider to set up the Identity Provider.

  3. Import the previously downloaded XML file from Azure.

  4. Fill in the data marked on the screenshot:

  5. Define a login button option. The default size is 120px x 35px.

All accounts stored in Azure Active Directory (from September 2023: Microsoft Entra ID) can now log in to the eTASK.FM portal using their Microsoft account.
