These instructions will guide you through the steps for reporting a defective key on the FM Portal.
Prerequisite
The key set already exists
Procedure in the FM Portal
Path to the starting point: Infrastructure Building Management – Security / Keys – Keys
Open the record for the key you wish to report as defective.
Tip: You can find the record very easily by searching for the last name of the person who currently has the key.
In the “Key Status” section, change the status to DE | Defective.
Click “Save” in the toolbar.
Note: Whether the key remains with the employee or is deposited depends on the type of key and the company’s internal policies. Keep this in mind, as you may need to specify the responsible person or the storage location.
