This guide walks you through the steps for reporting a defective key in the FM Portal.
Prerequisite
The key record already exists
Procedure in the FM Portal
Path to the starting point: Infrastructure Building Management - Security / Keys - Keys
Open the record for the key you want to report as defective.
Tip: You can find the record particularly easily by searching for the last name of the person who currently has the key.
In the Key Status section, change the status to DE | Defective.
Click Save in the toolbar.
Note: Whether the key remains with the employee or is deposited depends on the type of key and the company’s internal policies. Keep this in mind, as you may need to specify the relevant person or the storage location.
