April 2018 Release

This release has been approved by eTASK for use in production environments. You can download the release now and install it on your server.

The release notes are currently being edited and will be available shortly.

Please read the following notes carefully before installation:

Important Note for Users of the eTASK App for Windows

With the release of this version, an updated version of the eTASK App has also been released in the Microsoft Store. Please note that this latest app version is compatible exclusively with the current release version of the portal; that is, both the portal AND all connected mobile devices must be updated.

The latest version 2.7.480 of the eTASK app will be available in the Microsoft Store starting April 19, 2018.

Therefore, please update your mobile devices only if you also plan to update your portal to the latest release at the same time. If this is not desired or possible, please disable the automatic installation of updates for the eTASK app on your devices. Please note, however, that after a previous update to your portal, you must subsequently update your devices to the current app version as well.

Important note for users of eTASK.PropertyManagement, eTASK.Rental, eTASK.CostRecording, and eTASK.Operating

Costs As announced in the GoBD workshop, this release is only suitable for customers who have already completed the transition from the eTASK.FM client to the eTASK.FM portal. If you have not yet completed this transition, please do not install this update.

eTASK.BIM

Improvement: Clear error messages in the Revit app

The message texts in the eTASK app for Revit, e.g., when entering an incorrect password, have been revised.

Improvement: eTASK App for Revit supports Revit versions 2017 and 2017.1

In addition to Revit version 2016, the eTASK app for Revit now also supports Revit versions 2017 and 2017.1. The app’s installation setup automatically installs it for all three supported versions.

Improvement: Import BIM models with multiple buildings

Some BIM modeling tools allow you to export IFC files containing multiple buildings. When importing such IFC files into eTASK, the individual buildings are now registered in the Property Explorer with their respective area structures. The IFC file is imported into eTASK only once and contains references to both buildings. This enables, for example, the import of a model featuring an office building and an attached underground parking garage.

eTASK.Resource Booking

Improvement: Current day preselected for resource booking

When booking resources, the current day is now preselected instead of the following day.

Workflow for automated contract resubmission

Bug fix: Endless loop with email notifications in contract management

When a contract was automatically renewed, a new "terminated on" date was set instead of the new "notice period" date. This resulted in an infinite loop of email notifications regarding the renewal. The issue was resolved by adjusting the automatic calculation.

eTASK.MyApp/Inventory

Improvement: Faster scanning of object barcodes in the Inventory App

After scanning a barcode already recorded in eTASK in the room’s scan field via the inventory app, the tile for the object with that barcode is immediately grayed out and an audible signal sounds. The scan field is now cleared immediately after scanning the object barcode to prevent erroneous scans from occurring during rapid successive scans, as the previously scanned object barcode would otherwise remain in the scan field.

eTASK.Payment Transactions

Bug fix: Enable payment assignment without a debit position

Payment assignment without a debit position was only activated if a vendor or customer had already been specified for the bank entry when the payment assignment was opened. Assigning a vendor or customer is now also possible after the payment assignment has been opened.

Bug fix: Overpayment for canceled incoming invoices / Reconciliation for canceled outgoing invoices

Incoming invoices that have already been cleared and subsequently canceled are now classified as "overpaid," while canceled outgoing invoices are classified as "cleared."

Improvement: Bank Statement: Outgoing payments on outgoing invoices now possible

Bank statements can now also be released if they contain outgoing payments on an outgoing invoice that is not a credit memo. Typically, outgoing invoices only include incoming payments. To support such special cases, the validation in the workflow has been expanded.

Improvement: Payment allocation for different companies

If the customer paid to a company other than the one specified in the debit position, the payment can now still be assigned. The correct company can then be assigned retroactively after the payment has been transferred to the correct company.

eTASK.Outlook Room Booking

Improvement: Notification when booking "on behalf of" without sufficient calendar permissions

When booking meeting rooms on behalf of another person, the integration of eTASK with Microsoft Exchange requires the appropriate access rights to the other person’s Outlook calendar. This applies to both bookings made in the eTASK Add-In for Outlook and those made in the eTASK Portal. If the user does not have the necessary permissions for the other person’s Outlook calendar, the user will now receive a clear notification when booking in the eTASK Portal.

Workflow for GoBD-compliant invoice approval

Improvement: Setting the document date for debit taxation

eTASK supports the actual taxation method, which requires a distinction to be made between the posting month and the document date/invoice date, as the document date must not be changed and must also remain unchanged in the export. This distinction has been implemented accordingly.

eTASK.Operating Cost Settlement

New Feature: New Overview of "Building Allocations" by Cost Type

The new "Building Allocation" view provides an overview of a building’s monthly allocations for a specific year by cost type. You can find the view in the menu under "Property Management - Operating Cost Settlement - Calculation Results - Buildings".

eTASK.Cost Entry

Improvement: Locking of posting months in closed fiscal years

According to GoBD, posting months in closed fiscal years must not be reopened. The locking of posting months has been implemented accordingly.

Improvement: No more line breaks in export files for posting records

Line breaks in the transaction text have been removed from the export files for transaction records.

eTASK.Rental

Bug fix: Various corrections in the OPOS List Debtor/Tenant and Account Statement Debtor/Tenant reports

Various adjustments have been made to the Debtor/Tenant Account Statement and OPOS Debtor/Tenant reports to ensure that all relevant payments are displayed correctly and grouped in a way that makes sense for the respective purpose.

eTASK.Utility Services / Energy

New feature: Migration of energy consumption billing from the client to the portal

The complete migration of energy consumption billing (utility supply) to the eTASK Portal began with this release. Once the migration of the last remaining client module is complete, all property management functions will then be available in the browser-based portal interface. In the first step of the energy consumption billing migration, the meter hierarchies and meter groups were mapped in the portal, and the foundation for displaying meter readings was established. In the second step, specific functions—such as tenant and cost center billing, meter unit prices, and reporting—are now being transferred to the portal.

eTASK.FM Portal

Bug fixes

Correction of various minor bugs and optimizations in various eTASK products.

Improvement: Display of explanatory texts ("ToolTips") in tables

The explanatory texts for data fields ("ToolTips") are now also displayed in the tables. To view the ToolTip, hover the mouse pointer over the respective column header in the table.

Improvement: Direct access to BIM visualization from the Portfolio Map

You can now directly access a building’s BIM model by clicking the magnifying glass icon next to the “pin” on the building in the Portfolio Map. Clicking the building name still takes you to the building’s data record. Changes to the address in the building’s data record now immediately update the map.

Improvement: Select and copy text in the service list

Text in the service list can now be selected with the mouse, copied, and pasted into Excel, for example. This allows you to quickly copy individual rows and paste them into other programs or emails.

Improvement: Improved structure of the Excel export

The Excel export in the tables has been redesigned for greater user-friendliness. With the three available options, you can export the "Current View," use "Advanced Export" to specify which table information you want to export, or create an "Import Template" to enter new data for this table in the portal.

Highlight: Create personalized views for all tables and views

With this release, your portal users can now define and save their own views in all tables and views of the portal. Users can create as many different views as they like for each table or view. They can freely name each view and decide whether to make it their personal default view and, if necessary, share it with other users. Each user can find their custom views in the menu for the respective table/view under "Views." With this feature, even comprehensive tables and views that may have previously been confusing for individual users can now be reduced to exactly the information content the user needs. Additionally, users can adapt their views at any time to their changing information needs.

eTASK.Key Management

Improvement: Optimization of field sizes in the key logs

In the logs of the key form (issuance, return, loss), the "Organization" and "Email" fields have been optimized so that even longer texts are displayed clearly.
