August 2016 Release
This release has been approved by eTASK for use in production environments . You can download the release now and install it on your server.
Please read the following notes carefully before installation:
Important note for users of the eTASK app for Windows 8.1/10:
With the release of this update, a current version of the eTASK app has also been released in the Microsoft Store. Please note that this latest app version is compatible exclusively with the current release version of the portal; that is, both the portal AND all connected mobile devices must be updated.
Therefore, please update your mobile devices only if you are also planning to update your portal to the current release at the same time. If this is not desired or possible, please disable the automatic installation of updates for the eTASK app on your devices.
Please note, however, that after a previous update to your portal, you must subsequently also update your devices to the latest app version.
eTASK.BIM
Highlight: Display of an object’s IFC properties directly in the BIM Explorer
When selecting an "object" in the 3D view of the BIM Explorer, all IFC properties of the selected object are now also displayed. The Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) are an open standard in the construction industry for the digital description of building models. In addition to native integration with the architectural programs Autodesk REVIT Architecture and Graphisoft ArchiCAD, eTASK.BIM also supports the openBIM standard "IFC." This allows eTASK to process BIM models in parallel—both those created with your own native architectural program and those created with a third-party architectural program. Support for native integration with architectural software and the IFC standard offers you a high degree of flexibility, e.g., when selecting an architect, since you are not tied to specific system environments.
eTASK.Outlook Room Booking
Bug fix: Cancellations of room bookings in Outlook are now also synchronized without the eTASK Add-In
When creating a room booking in MS Outlook WITH or WITHOUT the eTASK Outlook Add-In and subsequently canceling the room booking in MS Outlook WITHOUT the eTASK Outlook Add-In, certain MS Exchange settings could cause the room booking entry in eTASK not to be deleted. As a result, the affected room was no longer bookable for the corresponding time period. This issue has now been resolved.
eTASK.FM Procurement
Bug fix: Session is automatically closed after executing "SAP-ORDERS"
The sessions established by the automatic timer job "Import Orders from SAP (SAP-ORDERS)" were not closed after the job was executed. The large number of open sessions resulted in no new sessions being able to be established. The job is now terminated immediately after execution, reducing the number of open sessions to a minimum.
Improvement: Orders from maintenance orders without objects
Purchase orders can now also be generated from maintenance orders to which no object is assigned.
eTASK.Building Diagnosis
Bug fix: "Wizard" can now be called again in Building Diagnosis
The "Wizard" can now be called up again in Building Diagnosis.
eTASK.Financial Planning
New feature: New view for displaying all planned maintenance measures
Based on the current planning cycle, the new view lists the planned maintenance costs for the next 10 years. For the first year, the planned monthly values are also displayed. The view is optimized for Excel export and offers numerous additional filter options, such as by region, general ledger account, location, project number, and planning variant.
Improvement: Better comparability of IBBs through percentage-based plausibility checks
The calculation of plausibility checks in financial planning has been changed from the previous distribution based on fixed value ranges to a percentage-based distribution. The switch to percentage-based distribution in particular allows for better comparability between IBBs of different sizes. The calculation now includes the following four plausibility checks:1) Total ancillary income minus total ancillary expenses and non-allocable costs as a percentage of total rental income2) Total maintenance expenses as a percentage of total rental income3) Total maintenance expenses and investments as a percentage of total rental income4) Total of all revenues minus the total of all expenses in relation to the most recently determined fair value
Workflow for GoBD-compliant invoice approval
Improvement: Adjustments to the "Payment Approval" report in the invoice approval workflow
Minor adjustments were made to the report, such as improved readability of the company name and the display of the receipt date.
eTASK.Operating Cost Settlement
Bug fix: Double calculation of VAT for certain cost types
For cost types subject to VAT, VAT was recalculated in the operating cost statement if the contract was otherwise calculated without VAT (gross = net). The calculation has been corrected so that VAT is no longer recalculated in this case.
eTASK.Warranty
New feature: Create defects directly in the maintenance order
Defects can now be created directly from a maintenance order using the "Extras" function. Defects created in this way are managed and processed in "Warranty and Defect Management." At the same time, the "Maintenance Plans" reports have been expanded to include a filter that allows you to display only those orders for which defects exist. In the maintenance plans, the "Completed" checkmark is also displayed in red for completed orders with defects. Orders without defects are displayed in gray as usual.
eTASK.Maintenance
New Feature: Maintenance Plans for Fire Safety-Relevant Objects Only
The "Maintenance Plans" reports have been expanded to include a filter that allows you to display only orders for objects relevant to fire safety. To do this, the "Relevant for Fire Safety" field must be checked for the objects to be maintained. When the reports are called up in this mode, only orders that relate to at least one object relevant to fire safety are displayed.
Bug fix: Use of certain special characters in the order form
The use of certain special characters in the free-text fields of the order form caused the form to display incorrectly. This issue has been resolved. Special characters can now be used when entering data.
Bug fix: Blockage of job triggering due to "0 intervals" resolved
If an active order plan was assigned a trigger interval of "0," automatic order triggering was blocked due to an infinite loop. A "technical fallback mechanism" has now been incorporated into order planning that intercepts this input configuration without blocking automatic order triggering.
eTASK.FM Portal
Bug fix: Release of user licenses during inactivity
Users logged into the eTASK Portal are now automatically logged out after the session expires (after 60 minutes of inactivity at the latest), even if they have closed the browser in the meantime without first logging out manually. User licenses are thus automatically released again after a maximum of 60 minutes of inactivity.
Bug fixes
Fixes for various minor bugs and optimizations in various eTASK products.
Improvement: Service list now displays the time for each ticket appointment
In the service list, the time is now displayed next to the date for each ticket. This reflects, for example, the applicant’s requested time in the service ticket or the start time of the booking in room reservations. For service tickets, the time can be entered manually during ticket processing (provided your individual workflow configuration allows this). For all other services (e.g., room reservation, maintenance order, invoice approval), the time is set automatically by the system. In the case of room reservations, the display is calculated based on the time zone.
Improvement: Microsoft SQL Server 2014 is now supported
Starting with this release, Microsoft SQL Server version 2014 is also officially supported.
Highlight: New control system for defining required data and verifying data quality
The eTASK Portal now features a completely new functional area that allows for the targeted planning and verification of necessary data collection. In the "Data Structure and Controlling" section, a profile can be used to define which specific data and documents need to be collected for a particular purpose. This is particularly useful for commissioning newly acquired modules, as well as for capturing data on new buildings, allowing you to specify which data is required for using the module or operating the building, and who is responsible for capturing it. For example, you can specify which information you always want to capture for your buildings and then verify whether this information is actually available for all buildings. The quality of the inventory data can also be easily verified in this way. The current “data completeness level” can be evaluated using various view reports. In the views, traffic light graphics allow you to see at a glance whether data entry is fully complete and how much detailed information is still missing.
