July 2024 Release Hotfix 2


This Hotfix 2 for the July 2024 release replaces Hotfix 1, which caused an error during the update of some older versions when the July 2024 release was not installed beforehand.


Additionally, it resolves an issue that occurred after opening BIM models from the Property Explorer, as well as minor content-related anomalies.


The original Hotfix 1 for the July 2024 release resolves an issue with logging in to the Microsoft Azure AD service via OAuth2.


If you do not use this type of login, you do not need to take any action. You can identify this by the presence of a "Sign in with Microsoft" button on the login page.



What should you do if:


1. You are a hosting customer with eTASK?

You don’t need to do anything; eTASK will automatically install the new version for you.



2. You use the software on your own server and have not yet installed the July 2024 release?

Download the July 2024 Hotfix 2 directly. All changes from the July 2024 release will be installed cumulatively.



3. You use the software on your own server and have already installed the July 2024 release?

Download the July 2024 Release Hotfix 2 and install it if you are affected by any of the changes.

Installation of Hotfix 2 is required for a later update to the September 2024 release

Bug fix: Reloading after opening a model

A behavior has been fixed whereby, after opening a BIM model via the magnifying glass in the Property Explorer, the next selection of any menu item caused the entire eTASK interface to reload. Magnifying glasses in other locations were not affected by this behavior.


eTASK.MyApp/Inventory

Bug Fix: Photo Saving Error in the Inventory App on Windows 11

Due to a change in Windows 11, it was temporarily no longer possible to transfer images from the Microsoft Camera app to the eTASK.WinApp/Inventory. This was resolved by re-releasing the app in the Microsoft Store. In this case, you do not need to install this hotfix separately; you can use the new app from the Store with the July 2024 release.

Bug Fix: Complaints Regarding Incoming Invoices

A bug has been fixed that prevented journal entries from being fully adjusted during the complaint process for an incoming invoice.

Bug fix: Inconsistent display of open amounts

Outgoing invoices paid with a discount were not always recognized as fully paid and were marked as open in the list of outgoing invoices. In the open items of the accounts receivable, these invoices were correctly marked as settled. This behavior has been corrected.

Improvement: Information area changed

In the "Meter Groups" menu item, the "Distribution to Rooms" information area has been renamed "Distribution to Rooms / Outdoor Areas." The form is located in the menu under [Technical Building Management/Energy Consumption Billing/Meter Groups]

Improvement: Information section changed

In the "Meter Groups" menu item, the "Distribution of Consumption per Room" information area has been renamed "Distribution of Consumption per Room / Outdoor Area." The form is located in the menu under [Technical Building Management/Energy Consumption Billing/Meter Groups]

In the "Meters" menu item, the information area "Rooms in the meter's supply area" has been renamed "Meter supply areas." The form is located in the menu under [Technical Building Management/Energy Consumption Billing/Meters]

Bug Fix: Update error when installing the July 2024 Hotfix 1

An error has been fixed that caused the update to abort in several older versions when installing Hotfix 1 for the July 2024 release.


eTASK.FM Portal

Bug fix: Login with Azure AD

Occasionally, an error could occur when logging in via the Azure AD service using the OAuth2 method, where an error message was displayed instead of the portal page after login. The login was successful, and the portal could be restored to a normal state by reloading the page. This issue has been resolved; the error message no longer appears, and redirection to the portal’s home page occurs as expected after a successful login.

Bug Fix: License Scope for Excel Export Reports

Access to Excel export reports is now included in the base product’s license scope, allowing permissions to be correctly assigned to individual reports.

Improvement: Renaming a static attribute

In the "Custom Report Templates" form, the static attribute "EXCEL_REPORT_DATA" in the "Excel Report Settings" section has been renamed to "Excel Report Data." The form is located in the menu under [Control Panel/Portal Options/Custom Reports/Custom Report Templates]

Support Information: Display of user names in the interface
