October 2019 Release

This release has been approved by eTASK for use in production environments. You can download the release now and install it on your server. Please note that an update to Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 is required. Since the release contents are still being edited, the release changelog is currently empty. You will be able to access the changelog once the editorial review is complete and the changelog has been approved. You will be automatically notified via email once the changelog is approved, provided you are registered with eTASK as a recipient of release notifications.

Important Note for Users of eTASK.PropertyManagement, eTASK.Rental, eTASK.CostRecording, and eTASK.OperatingCosts

As announced in the GoBD workshop, this release is only suitable for customers who have already completed the migration from the eTASK.FM client to the eTASK.FM portal. If you have not yet completed this migration, please refrain from installing this update.

Important note for users of eTASK.BIM

With the release of this version, an updated version of the BIM Server has also been made available. Please note that eTASK.BIM only works with the latest version of the BIM Server, so be sure to include an update of the BIM Server as part of your eTASK update.

Important note for users of the eTASK app for Autodesk Revit

With the release of this update, a current version of the eTASK app for Autodesk Revit has been made available in the download section of the Customer Center. Please note that BIM models can only be published using the latest version of the app. Please update your app in a timely manner.

eTASK.Demand Planning

Bug fix: Error when saving after changing the location code

Under certain conditions, changing the name of a location caused an error when saving. This error has been fixed.

eTASK.BIM

Improvement: Optimized display of door stamps in the BIM Explorer

Door stamps now have a fixed text height and font size and are displayed parallel to the wall instead of at a 90° angle. Additionally, the text field in which the door stamp is displayed is no longer limited to the size of the door opening but automatically adjusts to the text length. This ensures that even long door numbers are clearly legible.

Support Information: New Version of the BIM Server

Starting with this release, the new version of the BIM Server V1.5.162 is supported (previously V1.5.117). Please note that eTASK.BIM only works with the latest version of the BIM Server, so be sure to include an update to this new version of the BIM Server as part of your eTASK update.

eTASK.App/Emergency Contact List

Highlight: First version of the new eTASK app for iOS and Android

This first iOS/Android app from eTASK is designed for mobile access to HSE officers at sites and in buildings. The app allows you to immediately identify the individuals assigned to specific HSE roles (e.g., first aiders, fire safety officers) along with their contact information.

This first fully functional version of the iOS/Android app also serves as the prototype for the development of further mobile applications for the various eTASK modules.

eTASK.Payment Processing

Improvement: Overview of invoice payment terms directly in the payment run

In the list of invoices assigned to a payment run, you can now see the payment term for each invoice. This allows you to decide directly within the payment run whether an invoice should be moved to a different payment run.

eTASK.Reminders

Improvement: Different addresses for invoices and reminders are now possible

Similar to outgoing invoices, reminders now allow you to specify a different address. If an address of the type "Reminder" has been created for a debtor’s company, it is even automatically used as the default address for reminders.

eTASK.Cost Entry

Improvement: Filter invoice items by financial accounting export date

In "Invoice Items," it is now possible to filter by financial accounting export date, just as in "Incoming Invoices."

Improvement: Display of activated email delivery in the outgoing invoice

If email invoice delivery is enabled for a customer and a corresponding address is on file, this is now explicitly confirmed in the invoice form by displaying "Email Delivery: Yes"

Improvement: Streamlined process flow for recurring invoices

Incoming invoice documents automatically generated from recurring invoices are now handled in greater detail during approval, depending on the status of the recurring invoice document and the selected settings. This allows specific entry and approval steps in the invoice approval workflow to be skipped. This also ensures that invoices from recurring invoices do not enter the payment run without automatic approval.

eTASK.Rental

Bug fix: Duplicate transfers in the tenant account statement

In the "Tenant Bank Statement" report, transfers are now also displayed only once.

Bug fix: Display error in Rentcollection resolved

Fixed a display error in Rentcollection when rent transfers were still received after the lease agreement had ended.

eTASK.FM Portal

New feature: Log in to eTASK with your Google or Office 365 account

The eTASK Portal can now be configured to allow users to log in with their accounts from, for example, Google, Office 365, GitHub, or Facebook. Technically, this is made possible by integrating the "OAuth2" (Open Authorization) authentication process into eTASK. This enables eTASK to connect to all configurable OAuth2 identity providers.

This use of Open Authorization is particularly beneficial for our cloud customers who also use Microsoft Office 365.

To use the authorization procedure, the user must be registered in the portal as usual, using the email address they also use to log in to the connected provider.

Please contact your eTASK representative if you would like to use the new authorization process for logging in to your portal. Further information on the "OAuth2" authorization process: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/OAuth

New Feature: Independently Publish Your Own Versions of Reports in the Portal

You can now upload your own versions or modified versions of Crystal Report reports (RPT files) directly to the portal interface, thereby replacing the standard report provided by eTASK. Reports uploaded in this way are immediately available to your end users in the user interface, and customized versions can be made available at any time. With this new feature, customers can fully customize standard reports on their own without compromising the portal’s ability to update. You can find the feature for uploading your reports in the menu under “Control Panel / Portal Options / Portal Configuration / Reports.” There you will find a list of all standard reports provided by eTASK.

New Feature: Edit Tickets Across System Boundaries in BIM Collaboration Format (BCF)

Construction projects typically involve team members from different companies. Tasks are therefore usually handled by multiple team members, with each working on the same project using different software. This is where the IFC standard comes into play, allowing models to be exchanged via an “open standard” without any loss of information. BCF (BIM Collaboration Format) is an open file format that allows not only IFC models but also text comments, snapshots, etc., to be exchanged between different software in a standardized format without having to send the BIM model itself.

The eTASK WebService interface now supports the exchange of tickets via BCF. BCF tickets can be generated in eTASK and also received and processed from external applications.

For more information on BCF, visit https://www.bimcollab.com/de/BIM/OpenBIM/BCF

Bug fixes

Correction of various minor bugs and optimizations in various eTASK products.

Improvement: Semicolons and commas can now be used as separators in comments

When comments are generated that are also to be sent via email, the recipients’ email addresses can now be separated from one another using either a comma or a semicolon.

Improvement: Faster assignment of building rights for entire locations

When assigning building rights ("Rights to Property / Object Explorer"), you can now assign all buildings at a location to the rights group with a single click.

Improvement: Customize and update portal graphics online

The graphics for the portal’s login screen and header bar can now be uploaded directly via the portal itself and thus replaced without accessing the server. When creating your own graphics, please observe the specifications regarding file type, filename, and file size.
