April 2019 Release

This release has been approved by eTASK for use in production environments. You can download the release now and install it on your server.

Important Note for Users of eTASK PropertyManagement, eTASK Rental, eTASK Cost Recording, and eTASK Operating Costs

As announced in the GoBD workshop, this release is only suitable for customers who have already completed the migration from the eTASK FM Client to the eTASK FM Portal. If you have not yet completed this migration, please refrain from installing this update.

Important note for users of the eTASK app for Windows

With the release of this update, a current version of the eTASK app has also been released in the Microsoft Store. Please note that this current app version is compatible exclusively with the current release version of the portal, meaning that both the portal AND all connected mobile devices must be updated.

The latest version 2.7.488.43409 of the eTASK app will be available in the Microsoft Store starting January 12, 2019.

Therefore, please update your mobile devices only if you also plan to update your portal to the latest release at the same time. If this is not desired or possible, please disable the automatic installation of updates for the eTASK app on your devices. Please note, however, that after a previous update to your portal, you must subsequently update your devices to the latest app version as well.

Please make sure to sync your mobile devices before the update.

Important Note for Users of the eTASK App for Autodesk Revit

With the release of this update, a current version of the eTASK app for Autodesk Revit has also been published in the download section of the Customer Center. Please note that BIM models can only be published using the latest version of the app. Please update your app in a timely manner.

eTASK BIM

New feature: Optimized display of doors in the BIM model

In the BIM Explorer, the 2D symbols for doors are now displayed in addition to the 3D view of the doors. This makes it easier to identify the door’s hinge side, as well as its opening direction and size. Additionally, you can access a door’s key output list directly via the new key icon in the “Data Preview” of the BIM Explorer. You can access the Data Preview of a component by selecting a component and using the "i" icon in the BIM Explorer toolbar.

Bug Fix: Preventing Display Errors in the BIM Model During Loading

To prevent display errors when loading a model in the BIM Explorer, the menu is now disabled during the loading process.

Improvement: Automated "Object Processing" in the eTASK Revit App

The eTASK Revit App now offers the option, via the new "Objects" checkbox, to automatically start processing objects (components) immediately after the model is published. Previously, object processing had to be initiated manually in the revision.

Improvement: Dynamically display text stamps on objects (components)

A display option has been added to the BIM Explorer that allows text to be displayed on building components such as doors, MEP, windows, etc. The content of a stamp can be configured as desired. Some customers may already be familiar with this feature from the "CAD world," with the key difference being that in BIM, stamps can be defined at any time and immediately applied to all models. Placing stamps is no longer necessary in the "BIM World."

Improvement: Notification for model imports with a publication comment

When new models or new revisions of previously published models are published, an email notification is now sent to a defined group of recipients, including the comment specified during publication in the Revit Add-in or in the BIM Explorer.

Improvement: Publish BIM models up to 500 MB in eTASK

The BIM Explorer now supports processing IFC models up to a file size of 500 MB. This allows even larger MEP models to be published on the portal. When using the eTASK Add-in for Revit, models are automatically transferred to the portal as IFCzip files, enabling the transfer of models whose native size exceeds the 500 MB limit. The limit specifies the maximum file size up to which publication in eTASK can be guaranteed.

Highlight: Component classification according to "eTASK Catalog Object Types" directly in the Revit app

Starting with the current version, the eTASK app for Revit includes the "eTASK Catalog Object Types." This allows you to classify a component according to DIN 276 directly in Revit using the component’s "Type Properties." After importing the model into eTASK, components pre-classified in this way are automatically integrated into the portal’s object structure.

The catalog is automatically saved in the program directory upon installation of the app (under C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2018\Libraries\Germany\eTASK-Katalog-Objekttypen.txt). To use the catalog file, you must link it once per model. The catalog is integrated in Revit under "Manage - Additional Settings - Assembly Attributes".

Highlight: Faster delivery of improvements and enhancements to the IFC exporter

The IFC exporter defines the rules for exporting models from Revit in IFC format. It is a component of every version of Revit. It is based on source code that Autodesk has made available here: https://github.com/Autodesk/revit-ifc. The development of the source code is carried out at the initiative and expense of the community, not Autodesk.

Starting with this update, the Revit App includes its own version of the IFC Exporter. This allows us to break away from Autodesk’s release cycle and enables us to provide you with improvements and enhancements to the IFC Exporter developed by the community more quickly and independently of Revit versioning.

eTASK Digital Archive

Improvement: Classification of documents according to GEFMA 198

The digital archive data package has been expanded to include document classes according to GEFMA 198.  Documents stored in eTASK can be classified according to the specifications of Guideline 198 after installing the data package. When importing CAFM-Connect files, documents stored therein and already classified according to Guideline 198 are also imported in accordance with the structures. The data package is available to you as a free plug-in in the Customer Center.

eTASK Operating Cost Billing

Improvement: Service charge billing period independent of the lease term

You can now specify, within the term of a lease agreement, the date from which operating costs should be billed. This can be later than the start of the lease, for example, to allow for two months free of operating costs at the start of the lease. However, the date can also be after the end of the term to avoid billing any operating costs for that period.

eTASK Cost Entry

New Feature: Automatic Cost Center Allocation for Incoming Invoices

An item on an incoming invoice can be split into "N" items using a distribution formula. The goal is to automatically distribute the invoice amount to specific cost centers. You can define the required "cost distribution keys" in the portal’s system settings for each calendar year. In the distribution key, the cost centers are added and assigned key values for each month.

Bug Fix: Duplicate Partial Payments in Tenant Account Statement

The incorrect display of partial payments in the tenant account statement has been fixed.

Bug fix: Correct display of open items in the report

Under certain conditions, open items were displayed multiple times in the Open Items (Accounts Receivable) report. This has been fixed.

Improvement: New columns in the Outgoing Invoices table

In the Outgoing Invoices table, VAT, the invoice date, the service date, and the workflow step have been added as additional columns, allowing users to search and filter by these criteria.

eTASK Rental

Bug fix: Correct values in the Open Items report

The incorrect display of receivables and payments in the Tenant Open Items report has been fixed. The report now only displays the items that are actually open.

eTASK FM Portal

Bug fixes

Fixes for various minor bugs and optimizations in various eTASK products.

Bug fix: Visibility of bottom rows in List-Connects restored

The display height of List-Connects has been optimized so that the bottom list entries are visible when more than three records are displayed.

Improvement: Visual optimizations in form design

Various minor optimizations have been made to the portal’s forms. For example, the spacing between text and input fields has been reduced to make better use of space, and the behavior of the forms when the window size changes has been improved.

Improvement: Exclusion-based search in all tables

In the column filters of all tables, you can now also search using the exclusion method by prefixing your entry in the column filter with "[NOT]". For example, if you want to display all employees in the personnel list except those assigned to a specific cost center, entering "[NOT]Cost Center XYZ" will return the desired list, excluding the corresponding cost center. The Excel export has also been expanded accordingly and supports the exclusion filter.
