The map is not displaying

Possible causes:

  • The MapBox access token is not entered correctly

  • The token has expired or is invalid

  • No internet connection to the MapBox server

Solution:

  1. Check the access token in the portal configuration.

  2. Log in to the MapBox dashboard and check if the token is still valid

  3. Clear your browser cache (Ctrl + F5)

  4. Contact your IT support

Buildings are not displayed on the map

 Possible causes:

  • The building has no coordinates in the database

  • The coordinates are incorrect (e.g., 0/0)

  • The building is marked as "deactivated"

Solution:

  1. Check whether the address is entered in full in the building form.

  2. If that doesn't help, enter the coordinates manually.

  3. Make sure the building is not deactivated.

Building is in the wrong location

Possible causes:

  • Automatic geocoding has determined inaccurate coordinates

  • The address is incomplete or incorrect

Solution:

  1. Open the building form.

  2. Correct the address if necessary (street, ZIP code, city).

  3. Reset the coordinates (cross button).

  4. Enter the correct coordinates manually.

  5. Save the building.

Map loads very slowly

Possible causes:

Too many buildings in the portfolio (> 100)

Slow internet connection

Outdated browser

Solution:

  • Use a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge)

  • Check your internet connection

Cost limit exceeded

MapBox is free up to a certain number of map views per month. After that, fees apply.

Monitoring:

  1. Log in to the MapBox dashboard.

  2. Under "Statistics," you can view your current usage.

  3. Set up email notifications to be alerted when usage reaches 80% of the limit.
