Object management

In the FM Portal, "objects" or "inventory items" refer to all physical fixtures and equipment (e.g., furniture, IT equipment, as well as heating systems, elevators, doors, and works of art).

Object management is handled via a central object table and can be used for manual or mobile inventory of individual objects in the FM Portal, or for organizing the maintenance, upkeep, or repair of these objects using eTASK.Maintenance.

Dynamic object management in the FM Portal allows you to record and inventory any objects and reuse them in eTASK.Maintenance to define maintenance orders. Additionally, you can use custom attributes to add any data fields to any object types, enabling you to design your object management dynamically and individually. The structure of the object registry is also dynamically generated based on your object structure.

The view in the FM Portal is divided into the Object Register (location-based display of objects) and the Object Explorer (category-based display of objects).
