Number range categories

Use this form to manage categories for number range assignment. Number ranges are used to reserve barcodes for specific departments or inventory projects. The number range categories created here are available for selection in the "Number ranges" form.

Identification

Information on the data record’s identification is entered in this section.

Property	Description
Code	Enter an abbreviation for the number range category (e.g. "AM" for "Asset management").
Identification	Enter the full name of the number range category (e.g. "Asset management").

Number range

This list shows all number ranges created fro the number range category. It can be used as an information source when allocating barcodes to clarify the object type for which the number range is used.

Table assignment

Using this list, assign the number range category tables that should be used for the present number range category (e.g. "AM_FURNITURE_T" for the category "Equipment/Furniture").
