The use of number ranges to reserve barcodes, which are required for the mobile inventory to identify the assets to be inventoried, leads to an orderly inventory process. Number ranges (e.g. all barcodes from 000001 to 000498) can be created and reserved in the FM portal. Barcodes that have been reserved in number ranges can only be used for the selected asset type and only once.
