Management of MEP floors (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) for technical building equipment. MEP floors form the basis for MEP rooms in MEP planning and enable heating and cooling load calculations. You can define MEP floors manually or import them from IFC models - they are used for the technical overlay of architectural models with MEP technical models and enable the separate modeling of technical zoning independently of the architectural floor structure.
Identification
Basic identification features of the MEP floor for clear identification in MEP planning. This information is used to assign MEP rooms and to differentiate between architectural floors.| Property | Description |
| IfcGloballyUniqueId | IFC-GUID of the MEP floor from the IFC data structure. Is generated automatically when the MEP floor is generated by BIM. |
| Number | Numerical identification of the MEP floor for clear sorting and referencing in the MEP planning. This number may differ from the architectural floor numbering if technical zones are structured differently. |
| Designation | Descriptive name of the MEP floor for MEP planning (e.g. "MEP zone ground floor", "Technical floor UG1"). This designation describes the technical zoning and may differ from the architectural floor name. |
| Code | Unique short code for system-wide identification of the MEP floor. This code is used when linking to MEP rooms and when importing from IFC models. |
