The FM Portal offers you several options for displaying locations on a map. To use this feature, you must first set up and enable the map function.
We use the "OpenStreetMap" service for this. When you enter an address in the building form, a request is first sent to MapQuest to obtain the corresponding longitude and latitude. These are automatically entered into the building form. A request is then sent to MapBox using this information to obtain the corresponding coordinates in the WGS-84 system. Using this information, a marker can be placed and displayed on the map. The map feature is available to you in the building form, when creating and editing a service ticket, and in the Portfolio Map.
To activate the map feature, you must first register with MapBox and MapQuest and obtain a token from each. The use of OpenStreetMap is free for a certain number of requests to MapBox and MapQuest per month.
Prerequisites
You have editing rights to the System Control Panel
You have registered with MapBox and MapQuest and have tokens for each service

If you want to customize the map display, open the configuration parameters MAPBOX_MAP_ID and MAPBOX_STYLE. MapBox offers several pre-configured display options. Here you can choose which one you want to use and set it as the configuration value accordingly.
If you use eTASK.Serviceticket: When creating a service ticket, you have the option to specify an outdoor area. This is determined via location detection. If this is disabled or does not work for any reason, a predefined default location is displayed. You can specify this default location in the SELECTOR_FALLBACK configuration parameter. The location is stored in JSON format. For more information, see the configuration note.
The map feature is now available to all users of your FM portal.
