Vehicle accessories can be created either linked to a specific vehicle (Vehicle Assignment) or without being linked to a vehicle (Storage Location Assignment). The various accessory types must be created in advance by administrators in order to be used later. You can create accessories both via the Vehicle Accessories list and directly from the vehicle form.
Note: In the future, when entering accessories, the system will reference existing assets (Objects/Assets module). These can then be assigned in the accessory entry. However, accessory entries do not necessarily require an object. For any accessory that is not also an object, the fields in the accessory entry can be used to describe the accessory in more detail.
Tip: For accessories stored in the car (such as a navigation device), leave the Storage Location field blank; for stored accessories, leave the Vehicle field blank.

Procedure in the FM Portal
Path to the starting point: Infrastructure Building Management - Fleet Management - Vehicles
Open the entry for the corresponding vehicle in the list. Click New in the Vehicle Accessories section.
Select the previously created accessory type, e.g., luggage rack.
Enter a name for your accessory, e.g., the manufacturer and product name of the luggage rack.
You can also enter the serial number, purchase date, storage location, or a description.
Click Save in the toolbar.
Close the record.
Click Save in the vehicle form.
The accessory has been added to the vehicle.
