Management of the 20 main chapters of the Waste Catalogue Ordinance (AVV). The main chapters form the top level of the AVV system and classify waste according to its origin or sector (e.g. Chapter 01 "Waste from exploration", Chapter 17 "Construction and demolition waste", Chapter 20 "Municipal waste"). The master data is supplied by eTASK and corresponds to the current legal situation.

| Number | Two-digit chapter number according to AVV (01 to 20). This number forms the first two digits of the six-digit waste code and identifies the origin or sector of the waste (e.g. 01 for mining, 17 for construction and demolition, 20 for municipal waste). |
| Main chapter | Official designation of the main chapter in accordance with the Waste Catalogue Ordinance. The designation describes the origin or area of origin of the waste (e.g. "Waste from exploration, extraction, processing and further treatment of natural resources and stones" for Chapter 01 or "Municipal waste" for Chapter 20). |
