Link documents from archive

From a single entry, you can create a link to documents in the digital archive.

Procedure in the FM Portal

Path to the starting point: Objects/Assets - Matchcode List

  1. Select the desired entry and click the Edit icon in the column to the left of the entry.

  2. In the Documents section, click on Archive.

  3. Enter your search parameters and click Start Search.

Note: You can also select from all documents stored in the archive in the Results List tab.

  1. Select the desired document by checking the box next to the list entry.

  1. Click Copy.

Note: The document has now been copied to the clipboard.

Note: You can also paste multiple documents at once. To do so, check multiple boxes.

  1. Click Paste.

  2. Click Link Document(s).

Note: This function does not attach the document to the object; instead, it creates a reference to the document at its original storage location.

You have now linked the document stored in the Digital Archive to the selected matchcode.

You can identify such a reference in the Documents section by the following icon in the Linked column:

Note: This procedure can also be applied to object types and objects.
