Individual report templates

Navigation to this function

Use individual report templates to make self-created evaluations available within the portal for any user group. The possible types define which evaluations can be set up and which technology is to be used for this. Report types will be added in the future. Please note that, depending on the technology selected, external tools are required to create the reports, which are not provided by eTASK.

Identification

In this info area you will find information that can be used to identify the data record. This is usually the code and the name, together with other important information.
PropertyDescription
CodeEnter a short name for the individual report here.
DesignationEnter a long name for the individual report here. This is displayed wherever the report can be selected and used.
TypeSelection of the report type to be configured here.
AuthorEmployee who created the report and is responsible for the design

Details

This group contains detailed settings and configuration options for individual report templates. Specific properties that influence the appearance and functionality of the report are defined here.
PropertyDescription
ContentsDescribe the report at this point so that users know what to expect. Describe in particular if data is restricted by filters.

Publication

This group includes features for controlling the publication and distribution of individual report templates. Release status, target groups and publication periods are defined here.
PropertyDescription
ListHere you can select the table to which this Excel export template is assigned.
In the main menuSpecify here where the report can be called up in the menu. You can enter nodes as well as tables, for example. You will find the report at the end of the list in the menu below the item you have selected.
In the formSpecify here whether this report should be called up in the corresponding list under "Export". The report does not need to have a connection to this form. This is available for SmartReports, Crystal Reports or dynamic tree evaluations. To do this, select the desired list in the List field.

Setting for tree display

In this area, you can compile the various levels of a tree view and make your own settings for each level. Further information can be found in the help section under the related topics & instructions.

Settings for Crystal Reports

With the settings in this area, you can influence how the report is called up, together with the appearance of the report interface, if it is to be displayed in the portal and not downloaded as a PDF. Please note that retrieving the report as a PDF only retrieves the data once, whereas when scrolling through the display within the interface, the data is retrieved each time you turn to a new page. Retrieval as a PDF is usually the variant with the better performance for the user.
PropertyDescription
Show drillupSpecify whether the drill-up function of the report should be displayed. The report must be defined in such a way that it supports a corresponding function. This option is not relevant if the toolbar is not activated or the report is output as a PDF.
Show page navigationHere you can specify whether the page navigation buttons should be displayed in the report. This option is not relevant if the toolbar is not activated or the report is output as a PDF.
Allow parameter display switchingSpecify whether the report parameters should be displayed in the interface. This is not recommended for reports that restrict the data content via parameters, e.g. to ensure confidentiality. This option is not relevant if the toolbar is not activated or the report is output as a PDF.
Allow "Go to page"Specify whether the "Go to page" option should be available for faster navigation in the report. This option is not relevant if the toolbar is not activated or the report is output as a PDF.
Allow switching group treeDefine whether users may switch the navigation tree on/off for the groups defined in the report. This option is not relevant if the toolbar is not activated or the report is output as a PDF.
Show "Reload"Specify here whether the "Reload" button should be active. This option is not relevant if the toolbar is not activated or the report is output as a PDF.
Activate hierarchySpecify whether the data hierarchy should also be displayed in the report. This requires the definition of such a hierarchy when defining the report. This option is not relevant if the report is output as a PDF.
Allow searchSpecify whether users should be able to search in the report. This option is not relevant if the toolbar is not activated or the report is output as a PDF.
Show drilldownSpecify whether the drill-down function for the data should be displayed in the report. The report must support this. This option is not relevant if the toolbar is not activated or the report is output as a PDF.
Download as pdfSpecify that the report is to be downloaded directly as a PDF and not displayed in the interface. This setting makes all the following settings for the toolbar and its buttons irrelevant.
MODE parameterEnter the value for the MODE parameter of your report here. A report can have one or more values for the MODE parameter and change its filter or display options depending on this parameter. This technique allows you to use the same report multiple times to create similar queries in the same design without having to recreate the report each time and track each change in multiple report files.
Show toolbarSpecify whether an icon or menu bar should be available when displaying the report in the portal. This setting has no effect if the report is downloaded as a PDF. If you activate this option, all the following settings become irrelevant.
Allow exportSpecify here whether the report should receive an export button after being called up. This option is not relevant if the toolbar is not activated or the report is output as a PDF.
Allow printingSpecify whether the "Print" button should be available. This option is not relevant if the toolbar is not activated or the report is output as a PDF.
Show zoom factor listSpecify whether a selection of zoom factors should be displayed in the menu bar. This option is not relevant if the toolbar is not activated or the report is output as a PDF.

MODE parameterEnter the value for the MODE parameter of your report here.
