This evaluation lists all the connections that exist between the individual tables in eTASK. We use this data in various places, e.g. to enable tree displays in eTASK.
List
This group contains characteristics that represent a list or enumeration of elements in the context of foreign key connections. It enables the structured entry of several related values or options.| Property | Description |
| Traffic light | The traffic light column gives a colored indication of the status of the stored data. See the associated notes for further information |
| Note | The note in this column gives you further information on the displayed traffic light color. Follow the instructions to be able to change red and yellow traffic lights in particular. |
| Start form | The name of the form from which the foreign key is created. |
| Info area | This info area allows you to enter additional information about the selected foreign key. Here you can enter relevant details or comments that are important for managing and using the foreign key in the global system context. |
| Static feature | The name of the feature in the start table from which the foreign key originates. |
| Feature tooltip | The tooltip of the characteristic from which the foreign key originates is displayed here. |
| Target form | Specification of the form to which this foreign key leads. |
| Contained in product(s) | Here you can see which eTASK products use this connection. |
| Included in product suite(s) | Here you can see which eTASK suites use this connection. |
| Product Owner | This field shows the product owner who is responsible for this foreign key. The product owner is the central contact person for technical questions and decisions regarding this data record in the system. |
| Menu path | This menu path shows the complete navigation path to a specific entry in the system. It helps you to understand the exact position and hierarchy of the entry within the menu structure, making it easier to navigate and assign elements. |
| Foreign key | This field contains the foreign key that creates a link to another data record. It enables the assignment and linking of information between different areas of the system. |
| Feature type | Depending on whether the foreign key is formed via an ID or a GUID value, the characteristic type can be an ENumberField or an ETextField. |
| eTASK Namespace | The namespace defines the logical area to which this foreign key is assigned. It helps with the organization and structuring of data within the system and enables a clear demarcation between different functional areas or modules. |
| System name | The unique technical system name of the target feature in eTASK. |
| Foreign key DB | This field contains the database name of the linked foreign key. It is used to uniquely identify and assign database connections within the system and enables the correct processing of cross-database queries and operations. |
| Foreign key Name | This entry shows the name of the foreign key. It is used to uniquely identify and link data records between different tables in the system. Correct naming is important for data integrity and makes it easier to manage relationships between entities. |
| Sequence | The order serves as a general sorting of the entries in this list, based on the main menu in eTASK. |
| Form tooltip | The tooltip of the start form from which the foreign key originates is displayed here. |
| Form tooltip length | Specifies how many words the tooltip for the form contains. A quality feature. |
| Feature Tooltip length | Shows the length of the tooltip for the feature (in number of words). A quality characteristic. |
| discontinued | ⚠️ This property will be removed in one of the next releases. Please do not use it anymore. This field indicates whether the foreign key has been marked as obsolete or no longer in use. It helps you to differentiate between active and inactive links and enables better management and maintenance of data relationships in the system. |
| Target form canceled | Here you can see whether the target form to which this feature leads has been discontinued, is discontinued and will be removed from eTASK in the future. In this case, do not use the feature. |
| Target form - application discontinued | Here you can see whether the application of this feature has been discontinued and it will be removed from eTASK in the future. Do not use the feature in in this case. |
| Mandatory field | This field indicates whether the foreign key is a mandatory field. An activated checkbox means that the foreign key must be specified in order to ensure the data integrity and completeness of the relationships between data records. |
| visible | Specifies whether this foreign key is visible or not displayed in the form. |
| activated | This field indicates whether the foreign key is active and ready for use. An activated foreign key makes it possible to link to other data records and ensures that the referential integrity of the database is maintained. |
| NULL values allowed? | Here you can see whether this connection is mandatory or can be left blank. |
| Data type DB | This data type specifies how the referenced column is technically mapped in the database. It describes the format in which the data is stored in the database and is important for the correct interpretation and processing of the foreign key relationship in the system. |
| Data type eTASK | This data type defines the type of data that can be stored in an eTASK field. It determines which entries are permitted and how the information is processed and displayed. The correct selection of the data type is crucial for data integrity and consistency in the system. |
