Currently, it is not possible to configure IFC exports from modeling programs in such a way that they do not contain semantic information that is unnecessary for facility management.
Similarly, certain information from the IFC file is required to carry out FM processes. The information requirements vary from organization to organization and also depend on the specific processes. You can check whether an IFC file meets the information requirements using paid validation tools such as Solibri.
Note: eTASK provides predefined rules for Solibri here 📄 eTASK Solibriregeln IC2652
In eTASK, however, users have the option to configure BIM profiles to determine which information (attributes and their assigned values) from the IFC model should be transferred to the eTASK database. A traffic light view indicates which information is available and which is missing. To ensure that certain workflows in eTASK that require information from the model can be executed, the requirements specified in the BIM profile must be met.
