Note: This EMA describes an ArchiCAD-specific solution.
When exporting an IFC model from ArchiCAD, all BIM models worldwide receive the same IFC-GUID for the IfcBuilding class. As a result, models from ArchiCAD cannot be imported. This triggers an error message stating that the model or building already exists in the FM Portal.
The solution is to enter the building’s address here in ArchiCAD to generate a unique IFC-GUID for the IfcBuilding:
