EMA-005: 2D top view elements for doors

BIM

IC2660
BIM

The IFC schema supports the representation of 2D elements—such as notes, filled areas, or lines—in the form of so-called “footprints.” In eTASK, for example, the direction in which doors open is represented using footprints. Footprints can also be used to indicate whether a door is open or closed.

Autodesk Revit

In Revit, the export of FootPrints can be configured in the IFC export settings under the “Additional Content” tab using the “Export 2D top view elements” checkbox. When using “eTASK.BIM-Tools for Revit,” the configuration is performed automatically by eTASK.

Graphisoft ArchiCAD

In ArchiCAD, the export of 2D elements must be configured in your IFC settings: File → Interoperability → IFC → IFC Translator… → Select a translator for export → “Model Filter”…

The “Door / Window 2D Views” option must be selected.
