In practice, it is not possible for a regular user to delete locations. The reason for this is that locations form the basis for all assignments of areas, people, objects, etc., in the eTASK database, and these assignments are not deleted along with them. For security reasons, no option has been implemented for standard users to delete locations and all assignments associated with them, as this could quickly result in too much data being unintentionally deleted from the FM portal.
Administrators, however, can delete a location along with all its assignments.
Warning: This will delete all data associated with the location, including all assigned area data, room assignments, objects, etc. Only delete locations if you are absolutely certain that the data can be removed. It cannot be recovered.
Procedure in the FM Portal
Path to the starting point: Control Panel - Portal Options - Portal Administration - Portal Control
Click the Data Cleanup tab.
Check the box next to the locations you want to delete.
Click Delete Selected Locations.
The locations will be removed from the database.
