Meter service areas are required to enable the correct allocation of consumption costs when distributing them across meter groups. A meter service area includes all rooms whose consumption is measured by the meter.

Procedure in the FM Portal
Path to the starting point: Technical Building Management - Energy Consumption Billing - Meters
Open the record for the meter whose supply area you want to define.
Click on the "Meter Supply Areas" tab.
Assign the rooms whose consumption is measured by the meter to the meter. You can perform the assignment in two ways:
Copy room assignments from another meter record: This assigns the rooms that are assigned to the other meter’s supply area to this meter’s supply area. Click on Tools in the toolbar and select Copy Supply Areas from Another Meter. Select the desired meter and click Copy.
Create assignments manually: In the Supply Areas section of the meter, click New. Select a room and, in the Supply Period section, select at least the month from which the supply period begins.
