Define expected costs in an annual budget by assigning contracts

By assigning contracts, you can record estimated costs in an annual budget. This can be particularly helpful for budget planning.

Note: Costs resulting from contracts are only recognized as actual costs once the corresponding invoices have been received and approved.

Prerequisite

  • The annual budget exists

  • The contract exists

Procedure in the FM Portal

Path to the starting point: Property Management - Budget Management - Annual Budgets

  1. Open the annual budget to which you want to assign a contract.

  2. In the Contract Assignments section, click New...

  3. Fill in all required fields. If necessary, refer to the form layout (accessible via the help icon in the FM Portal) for assistance.

  4. Enter the estimated costs in the Target Costs field.

  5. Click Save in the toolbar.

After the budget values are recalculated, the target costs are added to the estimated costs in the annual budget, the budget item, and the budget project.
