Automated export tasks make it possible to carry out regular exports of data on a time-controlled basis. The easiest way to carry out such an export is via an individual plug-in from eTASK, in which the compilation of the data is handled. In order for the export task to be executed, the corresponding timer job must also be active.
Identification
Information on the identification of the data record is stored in this info area.
| Property | Description |
| description | A meaningful description helps so that even the uninitiated can understand exactly what this export task does. |
| Active? | Decide here whether the export task should actually be executed. Please note that the corresponding timer job must also be active so that the task can be triggered. |
| Code | Enter an abbreviation for the export task here. For tasks that you have received from eTASK, this will often be the plug-in number. |
| Designation | The name for the export task can be entered here. |
Goal
This info area contains all information about the export destination.
| Property | Description |
| Format | At this point you select the format of the target file. The selection is limited and cannot be changed. |
| Make file available via | Select here how you would like to make the target file available. The selection values are limited to the technically implemented paths. |
| File name | You must enter the name of the target file here. |
Time control
All necessary information on the execution plan for the export task is stored in this info area.
| Property | Description |
| Next version | When starting the export task, specify here when the next (and first) export should take place. The value is updated automatically with each execution. |
| Interval | Enter the interval at which the export is to be carried out in conjunction with the unit. |
| unit | Based on the interval, select the time unit that is to be used to trigger the export task. The selection values are predefined and cannot be changed. |
Data source
This info area describes the data source from which the information for the export is taken.
| Property | Description |
| Data source | You can use this input field to store an SQL statement that compiles the necessary data. Please note that not all SQL commands are permitted to protect your data. |
File system
This group contains settings for accessing the file system when exporting data. The target path for the exported files and the required login information are defined here.
| Property | Description |
| Path | Enter the exact path where the target file is to be stored. You can use absolute paths as well as UNC paths as long as the path is accessible. |
| Registration | Select a login here with which you can reach the path specified above. The login must be stored in the system beforehand. |
Logging
Here you define how the export task is to be logged.
| Property | Description |
| Keep log [days] | With this setting, you specify after how many days entries in the logging of this export task, including the archived source files, should be automatically deleted. |
| Store export file | If you check this box, the original version of every file you have exported will also be saved in the log. This option is particularly recommended when exporting important data or for a certain period of time after an export task has been started. This makes it easier to track unforeseen results of the export task. Please note that you are responsible for compliance with data protection regulations if you give people access to the logging of exports and thus possibly to the data. |
FTP connection
This group contains settings for the FTP connection used for automated data export. You can select and configure the desired FTP connection here.
| Property | Description |
| FTP connection | Select the desired FTP connection for the data export here. This setting determines which FTP server and which access data is used to transfer the exported data. The correct selection is crucial for a successful data transfer within the defined export destination. |
Test export
This control provides the "Execute manually" button in the menu bar of the export task, which you can use to start the task manually if required or to test it during commissioning.
Log
This info area contains all exports performed for this task, based on the logging settings.
