Customized report templates: Create Crystal Reports report

Crystal Reports can be used to create custom reports for the FM portal.

  • You have administrative rights

  • The Crystal Report Designer was ordered by the customer

  • OLE DB access is available

Path to the starting point: Control Panel - Portal Options - Custom Reports - Custom Report Templates

  1. Click New in the toolbar.

  2. Enter a short name in the Code field for the custom report.

  3. Enter a long name for the custom report.

  4. Select Crystal Report in the Type field.

  5. Select yourself as the author.

  6. Click Save in the toolbar.

  7. Now, in the Publication section, specify where the report should be accessible. It can be accessed either via a form in the menu bar under "Reports" or via the menu. You can enter both nodes and, for example, tables. You will find the report at the end of the list in the menu located below the item you selected.

  8. In addition, the individual report can be assigned to a table. It can then be accessed via the toolbar.

  9. Edit the Crystal Reports file as desired and save it.

  10. You can configure additional settings under Crystal Reports Settings. See the description in Form Layout: 📄 Individuelle Berichtsvorlagen: Crystal Reports-Bericht erstellen IC2774

  11. Upload your file in the Upload Template File section.

  12. Finally, in the Authorized Groups section, specify which user group should have access to your report. With Crystal Reports, you can create custom reports for the FM Portal.
