Create workstation

When managing workspaces, it is important to specify individual workstations so that you can verify, for example, that all employees have their own designated space and understand how it is equipped. Another option is to combine workstations into a flexible workspace and make it available to employees via a booking system. Home office spaces can also be tracked in the system as a "virtual" room, complete with the assigned equipment.

Prerequisite

  • The room in which the workstation is located has already been created

  • If the workstation belongs to a workstation group, this group should already be created

Procedure in the FM Portal

Path to the starting point: Basic Data - Employee Management - Workstations - Workstations

  1. Click New in the toolbar.

  2. In the Identification section, select the room where the workstation is located.

  3. Enter a name, e.g., AP (for workstation) followed by two digits.

  4. If the workstation is to belong to a workstation group, select it.

  5. Now, in the Workstation Information section, specify whether the workstation has a phone or a monitor, for example.

  6. Click Save in the toolbar.

You have created the workstation.

You can now specify a specific person who uses the workstation in the Assignment section.

Additionally, in the Communication section, you can specify information about the communication devices at this workstation (e.g., a group phone).
