Area billing is performed using a billing profile provided by eTASK.

Procedure in the FM Portal

Path to the starting point: Infrastructure Building Management - Area Billing - Billing Profiles

  1. Open the billing profile you want to use. Billing Profiles (976D) See "Billing Profiles".

  2. In the "Buildings" section, assign all buildings that are to be billed using this profile.

Note: A building can be assigned to multiple billing profiles and thus billed multiple times.

  1. In the menu, click Infrastructure Building Management - Area Billing - Billing Runs.

  2. Click New... in the list's toolbar. An empty form opens.

  3. Fill in all required fields. If necessary, refer to the form structure (accessible via the help icon in the FM Portal) for assistance.

  4. Click Save in the toolbar.

  5. Click the Calculate button in the form’s toolbar.

  6. Refresh the Billing Data section. The results of the area billing are displayed.

  1. Edit the results to accommodate specific billing requirements.

The results of the area calculation are displayed.

This is the raw data from the current area allocation, which displays each allocation of a room to a cost center in a separate row. If a room is allocated to multiple cost centers, it will generate exactly as many rows as there are cost centers for it. A room whose area is allocated is displayed in the same way.

Tip: You can access reports on area allocations via the Reports button in the form’s toolbar.

Note: You can update a calculation run at any time by clicking the Calculate button again. However, you cannot change either the calculation profile or the calculation date. An area calculation can only be deleted if the individual lines of the area calculation have been deleted first.
