Configuring the relocation of the SQL server in eTASK

If your company has migrated the SQL Server, you must also configure these changes in your eTASK.FM portal.

Tip: If your company uses the eTASK.FM portal as a cloud deployment, these instructions do not apply to you.

Prerequisite

You have administrator rights on the computer where you want to install the eTASK.FM portal

• You have administrator rights in the eTASK.FM portal

Procedure in the FM Portal

1. Update the Connection.config file located at C:\Program Files (x86)\eTASK\xxxx\FM-Portal\neon\App.Etask\AutoLogon\ to point to the new SQL Server.

2. Adjust the system configuration parameter "CRYSTALREPORTSERVER" under Control Panel - Portal Options - Portal Administration - System Configuration to the new path to the SQL Server.

3. If the username or password has changed, the corresponding values must be updated in the Connection.config file located at C:\Program Files (x86)\eTASK\xxxx\FM-Portal\neon\App.Etask\AutoLogon\ as well as in the system parameters "CRYSTALREPORTUSER" and "CRYSTALREPORTPASSWORD".

The configuration is now complete.

Note: The data backup strategy must be set up by the customer.

Tip: To ensure that the new SQL server is now used everywhere, it is recommended that you shut down the old SQL server.
