The data type of a dynamic attribute cannot be changed after it is first saved. You can copy an attribute to retain all its settings while setting the new data type, thereby creating a new attribute.
You have permissions in the Control Panel
Path to the starting point: Control Panel - Basic Data - Feature Catalog - Feature Definition
Open the attribute whose data type you want to change.
Click Copy in the toolbar. The newly created data record opens.
Check the entries in the new characteristic record.
In the Data Type field, select the correct type, e.g., Date instead of Text Field.
Delete the obsolete record with the incorrect data type.
Now click Save in the newly created data type.
Tip: If a feature has been in use for some time, the old feature can be marked as deprecated. Then create a new feature with the correct data type. If necessary, existing values can be transferred between the fields via data export and import.
Example: This is how you could transfer a value from the old date field to the new text field.
