Management of comments on BCF topics for structured discussion between project participants. Comments document the exchange of information about problems, change requests or notes directly on the BIM model. Each comment is uniquely identified by a GUID and can optionally refer to a viewpoint (3D view) to visually support the discussion. At least one viewpoint or comment text must be available for each BCF topic.

| Comment GUID | Globally unique identifier (GUID) of the annotation in accordance with the BCF standard. This ID enables cross-software exchange and referencing of the annotation between different BIM applications. |
