Management of IFC entity classes in accordance with the open IFC data standard (DIN EN ISO 16739). IFC entities represent the structured object classes of the Industry Foundation Classes standard for data exchange in the construction industry and define which building components are imported and processed from BIM models.
identification
Basic identification features of the IFC entity class, including German designations and descriptions according to the buildingSMART Data Dictionary (bsDD).
| Property | Description |
| Description German | Detailed German description of the IFC entity class and its use, derived from the buildingSMART Data Dictionary (bsDD). Explains the purpose and typical use cases of the entity. |
| IFC type | Designation of the IFC entity within the IFC classification. |
| Designation German | German designation of the IFC entity class, derived from the buildingSMART Data Dictionary (bsDD). Examples are "Wall" (IfcWall), "Door" (IfcDoor), "Room" (IfcSpace). |
| bsDD GUID | Global identification key of the IFC entity in the bsDD |
| Internal ID (Data ID) | Unique identification number of the IFC entity class. This ID is used internally in the system to identify the data set and is assigned automatically. |
Data processing
Configuration of the import and processing of IFC entities when loading BIM models. Defines which object classes are imported and converted into eTASK objects.
| Property | Description |
| Import/update data? | Determines whether instances of this IFC entity class should be processed during model import. If this option is activated, the imported IFC entities are created as eTASK objects and can be processed further in the system. Deactivate this for irrelevant object classes to reduce the import duration. |
| Standard CAFM-Connect Object type | Assignment to the CAFM Connect object type in accordance with GEFMA 444. During import, the IFC entities are automatically assigned this object type and the associated matchcode to ensure standardized classification in accordance with CAFM Connect. |
Display in BimExplorer
Controls the visibility and display of IFC entities in the BIM Explorer. Defines which object classes are visualized and whether they are automatically loaded when opened.
| Property | Description |
| Displayable in BimExplorer | Determines whether instances of this IFC entity class can always be visualized in the BIM Explorer. If this option is deactivated, the objects are not visible in the Explorer, even if they have been imported. |
| Load when opening the BimExplorer | Determines whether instances of this IFC entity class are automatically loaded and displayed when the BIM Explorer is opened. Only activate this option for frequently required object classes in order to optimize the loading time. Other object classes can be loaded manually if required. |
