The Label dialog box can be opened using the button on the ribbon.
Additional MText labels, in addition to the basic label, can be generated later for all linked rooms in a drawing using the Generate Labels function in the ribbon.
Since labels depend on the label templates stored on the eTASK portal, the settings always apply to the entire eTASK instance.
On the left side, the labels already existing in the eTASK instance are visible, assigned to the levels of the spatial structure for which they are available.
The "Basic" label is available at every level and is preset; it cannot be deleted. Changes to the settings are possible. The same applies to the N_Basic label as the basis for extended navigation (purple icon); it cannot be deleted either.
You can add as many labels as you like, e.g., a large room number that remains legible in the floor plan graphic when zoomed in on the entire floor. Please
ensure that each layer contains only the label in question and no others.
Create Labels
In this dialog, you can create your own label definitions. First, create an
MText label
whose attributes you can customize according to your preferences regarding layer, color, fonts, and size.
In the templates, you can see all currently available label definitions that have been created.
On the right side, you can configure the settings for the label selected on the left. The dialog changes depending on whether an MText or (a block label) is selected.
Note: The settings for the labels to be used must be configured before performing a manual link, as this automatically generates the corresponding label.
If a link to the floor polygon has already been established and the label for the MText is subsequently changed, the label must be updated after the change to reflect the new setting
Once the label setting has been selected, you can generate the remaining labels via the ribbon: Generate Labels > Create Labels.

Add a copy of the selected label. This function copies an existing label definition and saves it under a new name. This can then be modified. | |

Label definitions are created, modified, or deleted for all linked AutoCAD files in a database.
A default label is preset and cannot be deleted. It can only be modified in terms of font formatting and the label template. Please note that the change applies to the entire database.
Name: Enter the name of the label here.
Layer: Select the layer on which the label should be placed; if you want to create a new layer, you can also specify a new layer name using the Edit Pencil. It will then be created when the labels are generated.
Template: Select a label template from those available in this eTASK instance on which this label should be based. A preview of this will be displayed in the right-hand field. The label based on the selected
label definition will be placed on the defined layer during generation.
Formatting – Style Name: Select the AutoCAD text style to be used for the label.
Formatting – Height in mm: Specify the height of the text in mm (depending on the target scale, see below).
Formatting – Alignment: Under Alignment, you can specify the insertion point, position, and orientation of the label, e.g., bottom right.
Target Scale: This option allows you to adjust the text height. If you are working with AutoCAD Architecture, it is recommended to select the model scale here so that the font sizes of the generated SVG files match those used in the DWG.
If the height is specified as, for example, 5 mm, the text will only have this height if the target scale of the drawing or layout also matches the target scale set here. The drawing unit of the DWG also plays a role here. If it differs from the drawing unit in the settings, this will result in scaling.
Decimal Places: Use the "Decimal Places" function to determine how many decimal places are displayed for the area in the label.
Click OK to apply the current settings to the selected label definition.
